Frequently Asked Questions

  • What time is the big party?

The ceremony will start close to 4pm. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before that to get comfortable and grab a seat.

  • What’s for dinner? Will the food be kosher?

Dinner will be salad, chicken, and wedding cake. A vegetarian option will also be available. All food will be kosher and supervised by a maschiach. We’ve done our tasting of the food and it was yummy.

  • What should I wear?

This is a Sunday wedding so you can leave your black tie attire at home. Cocktail attire is appropriate.

  • Can children come to the wedding?

As much as we love all of our guests’ little bundles of joy, we are not having children at the wedding (ceremony/reception). They are more than welcome for the other events of the weekend. If you are coming from out of town and need babysitting, please let us know as soon as possible.

  • What’s a chupah?

This is the “marriage canopy” under which a Jewish wedding takes place. As with nearly everything these days, wikipedia explains. In our case, we will be using the tallis (prayer shall) of L’vannah’s great-grandfather.

Saturday evening is more casual (“business casual” in the official lingo). Save the “Sunday best” for Sunday.

Great website! question: For organization/ babysitter purposes, is there a definitive schedule for the big day? Does the reception follow right after the Chuppah?

Final schedule will be coming soon. The reception follows immediately.

Roughly, ceremony 4-4:45. Cocktail hour until 6. Reception until 10pm.
